Rayne J. Tafoya

Proudly presents a
One day Modern Workshop with
Rayne J. Tafoya
April 5th, 2009

Rayne J. Tafoya has been performing and touring nationally and internationally for the past 15 years. She received her BFA from Arizona State University in Dance and Choreography with an emphasis in Kinesiology and Biomechanics.

While at ASU, Rayne was a student of Cliff Keuter, an original Paul Taylor company member and world-renowned choreographer. She had the honor of studying and performing with Elina Mooney, Jennifer Tsukayama, Pam Matt, Mila Parish, Vicky Shick, Yin Mei, Ying Yang, Garner-Gutierrez Dance, and the Nebellen Dance Co.

In 2002, Nebellen received an invitation from the Prime Minister of Culture in China requesting they take part in a cultural exchange tour. They performed in Beijing, Nanjing, Wuxi, Suzhou, and Shanghai. This included a performance with the Republic of China’s National Song and Dance Ensemble. In 2004 the company returned to Guangzhou, China to participate in the Chinese X-games, where they were honored with the award for “best performance”.

Ms. Tafoya relocated to Portland, Oregon in 2005 and began dancing with Melissa St. Clair and Annapurna Dance. She is excited to be performing and teaching again after the birth of her son.

A limited supply of commemorative T-shirts will be available at the workshop.
